A Chrome extension for music links.

Click a Spotify or Apple Music link in Chrome and it opens in the service you use. Patois runs on any computer with Chrome, and it's in the Chrome Web Store now.

Set it up

Add Patois from the Chrome Web Store and pin it to the toolbar.
Click the Patois icon and pick your music app.
Click song and podcast links as usual.

Pasting a link by hand

Got a link in a desktop app, or one you'd rather not click? Click the Patois icon and paste it there. The same menu pauses Patois when you want a link to stay on its original page.

What it can see

Patois only runs on open.spotify.com, music.apple.com and podcasts.apple.com. On those pages it reads the song's or episode's details so it can find the same thing on your service. It has no account, no analytics and no ads. The privacy policy lists what's sent and to whom.

Does it work in Chrome on Android?

No. Chrome on Android doesn't run extensions.

Does it read Deezer links?

Not in Chrome. Deezer links only work when you share them to the iPhone or iPad app. Deezer can still be the service your links open in.

Is it free?

Yes. There's nothing to buy, no ads and no subscription, and you don't need an account.
