It's a search, not a direct link
YouTube's free allowance is about 100 searches a day, which is nowhere near enough for an app like this. So Patois doesn't look the song up first. It opens YouTube Music's own search with the details already filled in.
Podcasts go the same way: you get a search for the show, then you choose the episode.
On iPhone and iPad
- Get Patois from TestFlight, open it once and pick YouTube Music.
- In Settings › Apps › Safari › Extensions, turn on Patois and allow the websites it asks for.
- Tap a Spotify or Apple Music link. Safari passes it to Patois, and it opens in YouTube Music.
If a link opens in another app, or you'd rather not use Safari, long-press it and choose Share › Patois.
On a computer
- Chrome: add Patois from the Chrome Web Store and pin it to the toolbar. Click its icon, pick YouTube Music, then click Spotify or Apple Music links as usual.
- Mac: get Patois from TestFlight and open it once. In Safari › Settings › Extensions, turn on Patois and allow the websites it asks for.
